Presented by Students of Design Foundation Program (Ages 8-12)
Join us to celebrate how art and design can be a creative and cross-cultural way to learn. In a recent Design Foundation module, “Exploring Ancient Egyptian Wonders”, our students developed critical thinking and design skills, while gaining an understanding of culture, history, religion and geography. Bring your children and challenge their curiosity with mysteries of an ancient civilization.
Educational Exhibition:
- Dates: March 1 – April 28, 2024 (Due to its overwhelming popularity, the exhibition has been extended to April 28, 2024)
- Time:
- Monday to Friday (9:00am – 6:00pm)
- Saturday to Sunday (9:00am – 5:00pm)
- Daily lunch break (Mon-Sat 12:30 – 2:00pm, Sun 1:30 – 3:00pm)
- Venue: CreativeKids Museum Studio – Taikoo Shing, G412-413, G/F, Chai Kung Mansion, 2 Tai Yue Avenue, Taikoo Shing, Hong Kong (5 minutes walk from Taikoo Shing MTR Exit D1)
(2) Design Foundation Program (Mother's Day Workshop) for children aged 6.5 to 12
This workshop is part of our educational exhibition “Exploring Ancient Egyptian Wonders” currently displayed in Taikoo Shing. It allows children aged 6.5 to 12 to explore jewelry design inspired by Egyptian culture and create a unique gift for their beloved mothers. It’s a valuable experience for them to delve into product design for the first time.
Students’ Ages:
6.5 – 12 (the workshop is designed for children only, but we sincerely invite parents to join their children for the last 30 minutes to participate in their sharing session.)
Location:
CreativeKids Museum Studio – Taikoo Shing
G412-413, G/F, Chai Kung Mansion, 2 Tai Yue Avenue, Taikoo Shing, Hong Kong (5 minutes walk from Taikoo Shing MTR Exit D1)
Workshop:
- Workshop A: April 14, 2024 Sunday 2:45 – 5:30 pm*
- Workshop B: April 21, 2024, Sunday 2:45 – 5:30 pm*
*Parents are invited to join a guided tour of the exhibition and appreciate their child’s presentation from 5:00 to 5:30 pm.
Fee:
$580 per student, including an additional $100 e-voucher for use toward future enrollment before July 31, 2024.
We advise parents to collect the final artwork one week after the workshop to allow it to dry thoroughly.
(3) New Module Coming Soon
Design Foundation Program is a cross-curricular design program integrating KiDesign, Young Architects Program and Design Basics modules aimed to:
- Introduce design thinking, elements, principles and problem-solving to children who are passionate with 3D creation
- Develop technical skills such as idea sketching, visualization, model-making, and presentation
- Lay a solid foundation for future pursuits in design and architecture disciplines

Animal-inspired Design & Engineering
Observe animal movement and structures. Explore design and engineering through ‘Animal-automatons’ and architectural ‘Bone-chitecture’ architectural models inspired by animal bones, fostering creativity and structural understanding.
